UKIC partner with Red Bull for Season 6

UK and Ireland Circuit have announced that their upcoming season of Division 1 Finals will be held at Red Bull Gaming Sphere in London.

UKIC has completed 6 total seasons, with 5 of the Division 1 Finals being held on LAN. In Season 0, UKIC hosted a four-team LAN finals in the Endpoint HQ. For Season 1, they played it at Insomnia 71 in Birmingham. Season 2 was hosted online, and then Season 3 returned to LAN in Birmingham at the LogiPLAY Expo in front of a crowd. Seasons 4 and 5 returned to the Endpoint HQ, but this time with only two teams.

Now heading into Season 6, a new venue has been confirmed as part of a partnership with Red Bull.

Alongside this, UKIC has also announced that with this partnership, every single player that participates in the UKIC leagues will receive Red Bull products. This is for UK residents only, due to shipping costs. UKCSGO understands that this product will be a crate of Red Bull.

UKIC dates announced for 2025

This partnership should provide a boost to grassroots Counter-Strike in the UK. The hope from an outside perspective is that this partnership blooms into something greater that benefits the scene even further in the future. This comes at a time were the UK scene is in a slump, both with organisations and player progression. Seeing a new partnership like this can be the start of rebuilding the scene.

The Red Bull Gaming Sphere has hosted a wide range of esports events and features an integrated broadcast and content creation studio – much like Endpoint HQ. Next month it will host Instalock 5, a VALORANT Game Changers tournament, while it has also hosted tournaments in Tekken, DOTA 2, Quake and Deadlock in recent memory.

UKIC Season 5 has just ended as both ALASKA and 8Sins travelled to Sheffield to compete in the Division 1 Finals at the Endpoint HQ. In an exhilarating three-map affair, ALASKA strung eight rounds in a row to complete a Cinderella comeback. This marks them as the three-time UKIC Division 1 champions.

Despite winning the last three EPIC.LANs and UKIC Division 1 titles, ALASKA announced they will not be continuing. This does create an opportunity for new faces to rise up and claim the UKIC Division 1 title in London next season.

The group stage of UKIC Season 6 is set to start on April 28th, with the LAN Finals provisionally on June 21st. If you haven’t already signed up, you can do so here.

There are also two spots up for grabs in Division 2 and one spot in Division 1 in this weekend’s open qualifier. You can find the link to sign up here.
